About the Event
Go on a journey with us to the secluded Hampton State Forest where wild mushrooms grow in abundance. This event will be a fantastic opportunity to take the whole family for a day of nostalgic picking, just like you may have done back home in Switzerland. Please note that there will be very limited phone service in the forest. We will find two types of edible mushrooms: Saffron Milk Caps and Slippery Jacks. More information about these two mushrooms can be found in our informative flyer below, which can be downloaded.
What to bring: Swiss pocket knife, cutlery, and crockery, plenty of water and drinks (wine or beer if you wish), small snacks, and containers/bags for collected mushrooms (wicker or plastic baskets are the best). Please wear good closed-toe shoes and warm clothing (preferably long pants), including rain gear (just in case).

When: Sunday, 16 April 2023 from 09:00-16:00. Where: Meet and brief at Millionth Acre Recreation Area. Cost: Members $10.00/adult. Non-members $15.00/adult and $5.00/child (under 12) to cover the cost of lunch. RSVP: Bookings are essential.
